It’s hard for us to be objective about South Africa since we have called it home for many years, but it’s clear that we aren’t the only ones who feel the love for South Africa – it consistently receives accolades for being the best country in the world to visit.

South Africa is a country as diverse as its official languages (there are 11 of them!). With stunning beaches, incredible wildlife experiences, world-class food and wine, fascinating cultures and beautiful scenery, South Africa has it all covered.

Highlights of South Africa

Cape Town

The “Mother City”, Cape Town has beautiful beaches, a vibrant restaurant scene, the magnificent Table Mountain and Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, and much more! Add to that around 300 days of sunshine a year and it’s easy to see why Cape Town is a city that keeps people coming back time and time again. In 2023, Cape Town was voted the Telegraph (UK) readers’ “favourite city in the world”. Come and experience it for yourself.

Did you know, South Africa is the eighth largest wine producer in the world? But it’s not just about quantity, with South African wines consistently recognised amongst the top wines in competitions around the world.

Even if wine isn’t your thing, a visit to the South African winelands is well worth it! The scenery is stunning with traditional whitewashed Cape Dutch buildings amongst the vines, with a vista of mountains behind them. There is plenty of incredible food on offer – from top end restaurants, to farm stalls filled with delicious local produce.

Kruger National Park

We absolutely love Kruger National Park for its incredible wildlife experience, beautiful scenery and the facilities available for park visitors. Home to the Big 5 (rhino, elephant, leopard, lion and buffalo), and so, so much more!

If you have never been on safari, Kruger National Park is a fantastic way to start – although we must warn you, it will set a pretty high bar for your future safaris!
