Overview
Africa is home to 54 countries so diverse it seems unfair to lump them all together and just call it “Africa”. Pete grew up in South Africa and we have lived in South Africa full time since 2014. Both our kids were born here and have the accents to prove it…
We have split Africa into 3 areas, Southern, East and North Africa, although definitions of which countries go where are a bit fuzzy. We haven’t included West & Central Africa at this stage as we haven’t travelled there in the last 20 years (Pete’s first overland trip when he was 18 took him through West and Central Africa). But it’s on the list, perhaps when the kids get a bit bigger so they can help us push our vehicle out of the legendary mud holes.
